"Just Another Button Company ".

Mary Jane Collection is the main stockist for "Just Another Button Company" in the UK. The flat reversible buttons are handmade in the USA from polymer clay.

"Just Another Button Company" say - "The buttons are washable, dry cleanable and low temp. machine dryable, although garments are always hung to dry so that zippers and buckles don't scratch the buttons. A hot iron will melt the clay, so keep it away from the buttons - and don't let the cleaner press your work without removing the buttons first. Polymer clay makes buttons that are very tough to break. Because of the way the buttons are made, the design goes all the way from front to back making them reversible ( a bird can face either direction). "Just Another Button Company" add lots of detail and drill small holes to preserve the design. Use a small sewing or quilting needle with matching thread or two strands of floss to stitch the buttons on your project. A cross stitch needle is too large to fit the holes they drill".

There are over 650 styles to choose from, increasing continually. The selection offered on our web site is categorised into a subject theme. Each button has a name, code number, size reference, colour availability and price.

Please do not hesitate to contact Mary Jane Collection, if you require buttons that are not visible on our website as we are happy to order "Just Another Button" buttons for customers, that are required for other designer's charts

Blackwork embroidery using black thread was popular in the Sixteenth century. It was used on articles of clothing and household linens.

The latest samplers and nostalgic accessories take on a modern form, using colours. These designs are charted.

Keepsake Sewing Cards
(all cards are medium white in colour)

Tokens and Trifles sewing cards are a reinterpretation of early Victorian paper embroidery products. In the early 1800's a wonderful selection of small-perforated cards for cross-stitch or beading were initially produced in England. These cards come in many sizes appropriate for making small tokens of affection for loved ones. Bookmarks and needle books were favourite uses for these cards. A companion to these fully perforated cards were the " blanks " that also had a decorated edge but the centres were unperforated or blank. These were often used to back a project, provide a place for an inscription and were also used as calling cards or memorial cards.
